A Chip Off the Ol' Block - Quilt by Liz Sage

This wall hanging is a traditional Ohio star quilt block, made of cotton fabric: two coordinating solids and a fun potato chip print. The block is machine quilted, along the seams of the block and with offset lines. This highlights the precise points and the overall texture of the block. The binding is a rich mustard corduroy, featuring mitered corners and a hand stitched finish on the back. The block hangs by a metallic hand braid, made of embroidery floss. Nearly all of the fabric and the floss braid for hanging are secondhand materials.
