GOLDEN Absorbent Ground is an acrylic liquid surfacing medium dries to a high absorbency, porous, paper-like surface. Applied over gessoed canvas, it allows for raw canvas-like staining techniques and watermedia applications with acrylic or watercolor paint. Lightfast, permanent, and flexible. Golden Absorbent Ground is an acrylic liquid surfacing medium that can be used to create a porous, paper-like surface on many different substrates. Applied over gessoed canvas, the Absorbent Ground allows for raw canvas-like staining on a protected substrate. It also allows watercolors to be used on canvas. It is uniquely formulated for unsurpassed absorbent action when dry.

GOLDEN Pastel Ground is a translucent acrylic ground to be applied to paper, board, or any surface you wish. It provides a rough, "gritty" tooth, making it perfect for use with pastel, graphite, chalk or charcoal, and for the preparation of canvas and other supports for pastels. It can be blended with Golden Acrylic colors for colored grounds, or with Golden Fine or Coarse Pumice Gel to increase tooth.

GOLDEN Silverpoint/Drawing Ground is a liquid acrylic that prepares surfaces such as paper, canvas and panel to readily accept marks from a metal stylus and a variety of other materials. Developed for easy application, the ground has a very fluid consistency that will level as it dries. A single coat of Silverpoint provides a smooth, durable surface, ideal for use with a silverpoint stylus and other metals, such as brass, gold, copper, or even a steel paperclip. Silverpoint also offers increased control over water-based media and allows work with greater detail.
