Fluid 100 Watercolor Blocks contain archival, 100% rag cotton paper that is gelatin-sized. Crafted in a European mill that has been making fine art papers since 1618, these watercolor paper blocks are made with papermaking machines able to operate at very slow speeds, creating a sheet with characteristics of strength and quality. Each block contains watercolor paper bound on two edges. This form of block binding offers the benefit of both a pad and a block and allows for easy movement from one sheet to the next. Just remove a finished piece from the block by sliding a palette knife, or an alternative tool, underneath on all sides to loosen it from the blinding glue and lift off. With the block, an artist can forego the extra process of taping down a blank sheet of watercolor paper to a surface before painting to prevent buckling. Each block contains 15 sheets of cold press watercolor paper.
