"Mood Stabilizers" Original Art by Maxx Follis-Goodkind
13.5" diameter oil and mixed media on wood panel A woman holds up a floating peony while squatting amongst hypericum (better known as the natural anti-depressant, St. John's Wort). "Whenever I see hypericum I think of how something that helps humans not be sad, also has delightfully yellow flowers that always make me smile. And these peonies. These are based on peonies that bloom every year at the Carl S. English Botanical Garden, one of my homes away from home. If you miss don't visit every week, you may miss these. They have a short bloom time. The outer petals are large irregularly shaped magenta and the inner are nearly white and look like someone shredded them compared to the outer."
