Inspired by Apples
"I come from a long line of apple cultivators, from migrant apple pickers to orchard owners. I can't remember a time when I was not taught how to properly thin the fruits. How to tell which ones were going to be tasty. My childhood memories are filled with apple pies, deliveries of apples from my grandfather in Eastern Washington, and climbing apple trees. I can't imagine myself without apples. Now my partner dutifully stocks apples for us and there has been jokes about my "purse apple" - there is always one I am going to eat or forgot to eat."
